As I'm over halfway through the MLB stadium tour, having visited 24 of an estimated 34 ballparks (they keep building all these new ones), I figured I'd start writing down my thoughts so that I can better remember the tour as a whole once I've finished.
I am in no way affiliated with Major League Baseball-just a Mets fan that wanted a good excuse to see friends, family, great games and more of this great country and our neighbor to the north.
In the summer of 2006, having already visited 4 ballparks, I officially declared my desire to visit the home stadiums of the remaining 27 franchises within a decade's time. (I count Montréal and Washington as separate, in that they aren't particularly near one another geographically. Plus, I'd already been to Montréal). 6 full seasons later, with 10 ballparks to go, I'm right on target.
Feel free to correct my overuse of commas, parentheses, ellipses and general run-on sentence structure. I won't be offended in the slightest. Much of this will really be for my own memory- and much of it may not even be that much about the baseball itself. But if you're reading it, I hope you enjoy it.
